got call from this guy..lool... using the name hamdan harun with hong leong id HLB1241 and ic number 800406015440.. same thing said we do loan and wanted to connect to police station bla bla bla.. i also have the recording lool...

Hong Leong Bank scam (Scam call) reported by Din AA
The caller said a loan has been made in my name & there outstanding payments. She asked me where I'm staying, when I told them, she said the address is not the same. She then recommend that I make a police report. Since the loan which was taken in my name was in another state, they will transfer me to the police headquarters there. When I was connected to the supposedly police headquarters, I gave the details of the so-called loan that was taken. The guy then asked me to go to the police headquarters website & record the phone number, which I did, & wait for them to call. A few minutes later, I received a call from that police HQ number. In the process of giving my report, they said y identity card numbers shows that I'm wanted for a drug smugling & money laundering case! Then my call was passed to the investigating officer. She told methis a very serious case, etc, etc. Do not tell anyone while we're investigating. The thing is they already know my phone number, my name & my identity number! Anyway, back home, i called the bank & was told no loan is recorded under my identity card number.I went to the police station & was told they have received a number of similar reports. I'm lucky because I have not given them my bank account numbe, etc. Some people have lost money in various methods by these scammers. TQ.

I got the the same phone call (from Hong Leong bank) on 4th Sept 2018 for the same matter. Knowing that the caller cannot answer my question, I passed the call to my husband who is policeman, who then asked many question about him that made him cut off the call. Tq.
